In response to a previously mentioned bug in Apple's mobile operating system iOS 6.1 and higher, Apple has released an update which fixes an Exchange calendar bug that could result in increased network activity and reduced battery life.
OTS is strongly recommending that anyone who is using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch to access their Towson email and calendar should run iOS software update to download and install the iOS 6.1.2 patch if they are currently running iOS version 6.1.
The steps to update an iOS device are as follows:
- Open Settings
- Select General
- Select Software Update
- iOS will automatically check for available updates.
- If an update is available, you can tap Download to download the update.
- After the download has completed tap Install to update your iOS.
- Once your device reboots, the update is complete.
